Hanson is located
about 8 miles east of Brockton and 22 miles
southeast of Boston.
In 1912, a huge cranberry packing house was built.
This, along with many later additions, became the national Ocean Spray
Corporation.
The town was named for Alexander Conte Hanson, a
Maryland newspaper publisher.
